From the Call Committee

The Call Committee was officially commissioned last month, at the same time the Transition Team was decommissioned - a "passing of the torch." Let me take this opportunity to thank the members of the Transition Team for all their great work over the preceding six months. The team laid down a foundation that's essential to the Call Committee's tasks.
During the next few weeks, working with the Synod, the Call Committee will be finalizing the Ministry Site Profile. This document will essentially be Trinity's "job opening ad," upon which the Synod will base its recommendations for Pastor. The Committee will interview the candidates, and with much consideration and prayer, will select the ideal one to present to the congregation. Any candidate, of course, will have to be approved by a congregational vote.
I'd like to ask the entire congregation to pray for the Call Committee, that we may be guided by the Lord as we gho through this process. Each of us has ideas aobu the qualities and gifts we want in our next Pastor. The important thing for all of us to remember and pray for, though, is that God will send the Pastor that Trinity truly needs.
